Established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), AIIMS Bathinda aims to correct regional imbalances in healthcare and provide quality medical education in the state of Punjab. The institute commenced operations in 2019 and has rapidly grown into a hub of medical excellence.

Medical Education & Training

Academic Programs

Our MBBS program admits 100 students annually through the NEET UG examination. The 5.5-year program includes 4.5 years of academic training and 1 year of compulsory rotating internship.

The curriculum follows the competency-based medical education (CBME) pattern prescribed by the National Medical Commission with early clinical exposure and skill labs.

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and minimum 50% marks. Admission through NEET-UG.

We offer MD/MS programs in 15 broad specialties and DM/MCh programs in super-specialties. Admissions are through the INI-CET examination conducted by AIIMS New Delhi.

Our postgraduate training emphasizes clinical competence, research methodology, and teaching skills. Residents work under supervision in our tertiary care hospital.

We offer B.Sc Nursing (4 years), Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (2 years), and various paramedical diploma and degree courses in medical laboratory technology, radiography, physiotherapy, etc.

Our College of Nursing is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and Punjab Nurses Registration Council.
